In 1957 the Milwaukee Braves won their franchise’s only World Series championship in the city of Milwaukee, defeating the mighty New York Yankees in a seven game World Series. Lew Burdette won MVP honors, winning three of the Braves four games, including the clinching seventh game.

This Official National League Warren Giles baseball has been signed by 31 members of the 1957 Braves, with the signature of manager Fred Haney located on the sweet spot. Other signatures include the Hall of Famers Warren Spahn, Eddie Mathews, and Red Schoendienst, as well as John Riddle, Bob Taylor, Taylor Phillips, Bob Trowbridge, Mel Roach, Bill Bruton, Del Crandall, Connie Ryan, Nip Jones, John DeMerit, Lew Burdette, Juan Pizarro, Frank Torre, Bob Keely, Don McMahon, Charlie Root, Joe Adcock, Ernie Johnson, Dave Jolly, Del Rice, Johnny Logan, Carl Sawatski, Andy Pafko, Gene Conley, Bob Hazle, Felix Mantilla, and John Lang, the team’s batting practice pitcher.
