The Los Angeles Lakers are undeniably on the short list of great franchises in NBA history, and the 1999-2000 season started another team dynasty. The Lakers cruised through the regular season, posting a record of 67-15 under head coach Phil Jackson. Shaquille O’Neal - named league MVP - averaged 29.7 points, 13.6 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game. Kobe Bryant wasn’t too shabby himself, posting per game averages of 22.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists. The Lakers’ season ended with a 4-2 series win over the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Finals, giving Los Angeles the first of what would be three straight NBA titles. O’Neal elevated his game to even more ridiculous heights in the Finals, averaging 38.0 points and 16.7 rebounds per game on his way to being named the 2000 Finals Most Valuable Player.

     Presented here is a 2000 Los Angeles Lakers 14K championship ring that was ordered by O’Neal and gifted to his then agent. The ring’s top proudly displays the Lakers team logo, entirely surrounded by a bed of sparkling diamonds. “WORLD CHAMPIONS” is shown on the perimeter of the ring, which is also designed to feature five single round diamonds on each of the left and right sides. PLEASE NOTE: the middle diamond from the row on the right side of the ring has fallen out. The right shank displays the words “BLING BLING” and the year 2000, as a stunning diamond stone sits above the image of a basketball hoop. Centering the other side of the ring is the NBA logo, along with the Lakers 67-15 regular-season record and 15-8 playoff mark. “O’NEAL” is shown at the top above the NBA logo with the number 34 below. Engraved inside the band is “LEONARD” and 14K. This ring is an approximate size 9 and it weighs approximately 51.3 grams.
