Presented here is a collection of five items signed by MLB strikeout king Nolan Ryan. The winner of 324 Major League ballgames, Ryan started more games than any player not named Cy Young. Over his 27-season career, Ryan struck out 5,714 batters, leading the league in strikeouts 11 times, including four seasons after the age of 40. In 1973, Ryan set a modern record by striking out 383 batters in one season. In 1999, Ryan was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame as a Texas Ranger.
The first item in this collection is a Nolan Ryan Texas Rangers Cooperstown Collection jersey signed by the Ryan Express. The white button down jersey has “Rangers” sewn across the front in blue and red tackle twill, and Ryan’s number “34” sewn on the front and back in similarly colored tackle twill. “RYAN” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue tackle twill. Ryan signed the “4” digit on the back in silver marker. This item comes with a COA from JSA (S81016).
Also included are two baseballs signed by Ryan. The first is an Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball signed on the sweet spot in blue pen. Ryan added the inscription “The Ryan Express” to his signature. This baseball has been graded a GEM MINT 10 by PSA/DNA, including perfect 10 grades for both the baseball and signature. This ball comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (J11590).
The second baseball is an Official American League Bobby Brown baseball signed on the sweet spot in blue pen by Ryan. The inscription “4062 / 5000” is located to the right of the signature. This baseball comes with a COA from JSA (S81017) and PSA/DNA (W57560).
The next item is a Cooperstown bat signed on the barrel in black marker by Ryan. Two Cooperstown logos are present on the barrel of the bat. This item comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (T48566). The final item is a print from the Dallas-Fort Worth Star Telegram honoring Ryan’s Hall of Fame induction. It measures 15 x 22 inches and is created from a montage of hundreds of tiny pictures of the ace pitcher. Ryan signed this print in blue marker and this item comes with a COA from JSA (S31945).
