With the tragic passing of Thurman Munson on August 1, 1979 as a result of the crash of the Cessna plane he was flying, autographs of the Yankees’ legend and captain are rare. Offered here signed baseball by Thurman Munson. This Official National League Warren Giles Baseball has three signatures total, with one penned by Munson himself on the side panel and the two other signatures belonging to Milt Smith. Munson’s signature was signed in blue ballpoint pen. The baseball is in good condition with only minor toning and has a coating of shellack. This baseball comes with a LOA from JSA (Z42049).
