After a few seasons spent on and off the DL, Paul Molitor soon emerged as the cornerstone of a Milwaukee Brewer squad that would wreak havoc upon the American League in the early 1980’s. In 1982 alone, Molitor hit a nice .302 to lead the Brew Crew to their first and to this date only World Series appearance where he proceeded to set the record for most hits in one game – five – in Game 1.
This Louisville Slugger H176 model bat that has been dated to the 1980-83 seasons shows excellent use with a slight handle crack. There are several ball marks with stitch impressions on the left and back barrel along with green bat rack streaks. There is a light coat of pine tar is on the handle and Molitor’s number “4” is hand written on the knob end in black marker. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14258) who have graded this bat a GU 9.
