In 1980, Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski “Yaz” was winding down his career by moving to the DH spot. Although at age 40 he was among the oldest players in the league, the slugger hit .275 with 15 homers. In 1981, Yaz added seven more home runs to his career total and had 53 RBI.

This Louisville Slugger D113 model bat was used by Yastrzemski during the 1980 and 1981 seasons is un-cracked and shows evidence of moderate use. There are ball marks on the right barrel, along with cleat marks. Red, blue and green bat rack streaks are also visible along the barrel and the handle has been taped in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip. Yaz's number "8" has been hand written on the knob in black marker. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14307) and has been graded a GU 8.
