Ever since his American League Rookie of the Year campaign in 2014, Jose Abreu has proven to be among the best sluggers in baseball. The stoic first baseman for the Chicago White Sox has hit for over 25 home runs and 100 RBI in each of his first three professional seasons, and maintains a batting average that hovers around the .300 mark. Abreu used the items offered in this collection during his second season, in 2015. Abreu led the Sox in home runs (30), RBI (107), and batting average (.290) that season, as the Robin Ventura led squad finished out of the playoff reckoning.

     The offered bat is a two-toned Victus JA44 Pro Reserve model bat with a tan barrel and black handle. The handle is taped with black and yellow Lizard Skin, and a black and silver Victus logo is applied to the lower barrel. The handle is coated with Mota stick, and the barrel of the bat is cupped. A White Sox decal with the number “79” is applied to the knob of the un-cracked bat. Abreu signed the barrel in blue marker, inscribing (#79 / 2015 Game Used”. The bat comes with a COA from Player Direct for game use and a COA from JSA (W898700) for the signature.

     The second pair of items offered here are Mizuno batting gloves worn by Abreu during the 2015 season. The gloves are gray and black, with raised gold and black Mizuno logos applied to the tops of the hand. “79” is embroidered in black on each wristband. Abreu signed the palm of each glove in blue marker, adding the inscription “#79 / Game 2015 Game Used”. These gloves come with a Player Direct COA for game use and two JSA COAs for the signatures (W898833, W898834).
