Presented here is a collection of three items signed by Hall of Fame starting pitcher Nolan Ryan. The all-time strikeout king, Ryan amassed 324 career victories and started more games than any other pitcher not named Cy Young. A member of the Mets, Angels, Astros, and Rangers, the power pitcher from Alvin, Texas was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame as a member of the Texas Rangers.
The first item in this collection is a replica Texas Rangers jersey. It is a white, button down home jersey with “Rangers” sewn across the chest in blue and red tackle twill. Ryan’s number “34” is sewn on the front and back in similarly colored tackle twill. “RYAN” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue tackle twill. “The Ryan Express” signed the front of the jersey in blue marker. This 1990 style jersey comes with a COA from JSA (S34859).
The second item is an autographed copy of Ryan’s autobiography “Miracle Man”. This book contains several glossy pages of fascinating photos of Ryan, and a 50 page section near the end of the book where each of Ryan’s 5,714 career strikeouts are meticulously noted. Ryan signed the cover page in blue pen. This item comes with a COA from JSA (S34858).
The final item in this collection is a framed special report from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram from August 23rd, 1989, acknowledging Ryan’s 5,000th career strikeout. Ryan is pictured on the front of the cover in his home whites, tipping his hat to the Texas crowd. Ryan signed this item in blue marker. It is framed in an 18 x 26 inch display, with plaques that read “Fort Worth Star Telegram / August 23, 1989” and “Nolan Ryan / Limited Edition 1821 of 5000”. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (Z58631).
