Jose Abreu made an instant impact with the Chicago White Sox during his rookie season in 2014. The Cuban first baseman was the 2014 American League Rookie of the Year, recognized after hitting 36 home runs with 107 RBI and a .317 batting average. Abreu has continued to rake, collecting 100 RBI or more in each of this three full seasons.

     This bat and cleats combination is from 2015, Abreu’s second season, when the big slugger launched 30 home runs and drove in 101 RBI. The bat is a Chandler Model AP5L Maple bat. The two-toned, tan and black lumber measures 34.5 inches and weighs 31.5 ounces. This bat has a black Lizard Skin wrapping on the handle, and a Chandler logo applied to the base of the barrel. It is cracked, and shows good evidence of use. Abreu signed the barrel in blue marker, adding the inscription “#79 / 2015 Game Used”. The bat comes with a COA from Player Direct for game use and a JSA STICKER ONLY (W898735) for the signature.

     The cleats are size 13 Mizuno high tops, in a black and gray color scheme. A small Mizuno logo is located on the inside instep of each shoe and on the tongue of the cleats, while a larger Mizuno logo is placed near the outside toe area. A Mizuno logo and Abreu’s number “79” are applied to the back heel. Abreu signed the toe of each cleat in silver marker, adding the inscription “#79 / 2015 Game Used”. These cleats come with a COA from Player Direct, and COAs from JSA (W898780 and W898781).
