Ted Williams followed up his legendary 1941 campaign with a year for the ages in 1942. The sweet-swing left fielder won the American League Triple Crown, leading the league in homers (36), RBI (137), and batting average (.356). Williams also finished first in runs scored, on base percentage, slugging percentage, total bases, and walks. Somewhat unbelievably, Williams did not win the American League MVP award, coming in just behind Joe Gordon for the league honors. This lithograph features three images of Williams, including one in the follow through of his iconic swing. The lithograph has text at the bottom that reads “Ted Williams / Triple Crown Winner 1942” and his key statistics. Williams signed the lithograph, which is numbered 92 of 521, in blue marker. This item comes in a 30 x 42 inch frame, and has “T.C. 1942” cut out of the matted display on the bottom. This item is accompanied by a LOA from PSA/DNA (O03565).
