Graded EX 5 by PSA. Here is a truly rare card from the first "Wacky" issue that was introduced by Topps in 1967. Along with its comparably elusive counterpart, "Ratz Crackers," this is an item for which collector demand constantly overwhelms the paucity of known specimens. Tradition maintains that when Nabisco became aware of the parody of two of its most popular products, the company threatened Topps with litigation. "Cracked Animals" and "Ratz Crackers" were quickly pulled from production, resulting in their painful scarcity today. It's been estimated that fewer than 50 copies of each exist in any condition. This example has above-average centering for any die-cut from its condition-sensitive series, and it displays exceptionally good border whiteness, barely noticeable corner wear and pleasing overall depth of color. The reverse is clean with very mild, even toning, as well as visibly pure and original, light adhesive. The card's meaning and appearance represent the "Wacky" collector's grail, and PSA's authentication of this example validates the card's genuineness and its suitability of cut. Almost never seen in the hobby, the offered card is one of non-sport collecting's legendary pieces. Attractive Excellent condition.
