Presented here is a multi-signed team photograph of the 1930 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team. This was Notre Dame’s final season under the tutelage of mythic head coach Knute Rockne, who would perish in a tragic plane crash only four months after Notre Dame’s final game of the season. Rockne’s men finished the 1930 season with an undefeated 10-0 record and a national championship. Their road to the championship was relatively unobstructed, and was capped off by 27-0 shutout against the University of Southern California at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in their final game of the season.

This photograph measures 23 x 7 ½ inches, and comes in a 29 ½ x 13 ½ inch frame. It shows the entire 1930 squad, as well as Rockne, the coaching staff, and the team manager. It has been signed by 28 members of the 1930 Notre Dame squad, including Rockne, Frank Carideo, Tom Conley, Fred Leahy, Ed Kosky, Moon Mullins, Bert Metzger, Tommy Yarr, Al Culver, Marchmont Schwartz, Bill Pierce, Joe Kurth, Chuck Jaskwhich, and several more. The signatures have been written in black pen. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (X73510).
