Joe Pepitone made his Major League Baseball debut as a 21-year-old with the New York Yankees on April 10, 1962. In just the following season he would hit 27 home runs, and in 1964 - in his second of what would be three straight All-Star seasons - Pepitone would mash 28 home runs and drive in 100 runs. In 1966, he recorded his season personal best with 31 home runs. He finished his career, which was spent mostly with the Yankees, with 219 homers, 721 runs batted in, and three Gold Glove Awards for his stellar work at first base.

Offered here is certainly a unique item - Pepitone’s personal rookie season commemorative 14K gold ring. The face features his uniform number 25, made up of 18 diamonds. On the left shank of the ring is the number “62”, representing the year of Pepitone’s rookie season. The Yankees “NY” logo is displayed on the opposite shank. Inside this approximate size 13 band is engraved “PEPITONE”. This ring weighs approximately 33.1 grams and comes from Pepitone’s own personal collection and also includes a LOA from Pepitone himself.
