There aren’t many baseball players in the history of the game who accomplished more in their careers than Pete Rose. Baseball’s all-time hits leader (4,256 career hits) was a 17-time All-Star, National League Most Valuable Player in 1973, and Rookie of the Year in 1963. Rose’s name was regularly atop the leaderboard, as he led the league in hits seven times, was tops in doubles five times, and posted the most runs scored in four seasons. Of course, he didn’t just put up individual stats, he was also a winner. Rose won the World Series with the Cincinnati Reds in 1975 and 1976 (winning World Series MVP in ’75) and with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1980.

Presented here is Rose’s Balfour 1982 MLB All-Star Game ring. The face is centered by a larger round CZ that is set within an image of a maple leaf, which sits on a lovely red stone. “PARTIE D’ETOILES” is displayed around the bezel setting in relief lettering. One shank has the MLB logo below the name “ROSE” and a three-star design appearing at the bottom. The other side of the ring features the 1982 All-Star Game logo, which reads “PARTIE D’ETOILES ALL-STAR GAME” and includes the Expos logo inside a large star. The year “1982” appears at the top and “MONTREAL” is at the bottom. Inside the band is engraved “BALFOUR CELESTRIUM”. This ring is approximately a size 11 and weighs an approximate 21.1 grams. Accompanying the ring is a MEARS evaluation as to its authenticity, as well as a hand-written letter from Rose.
