Louis Armstrong is one of the most ubiquitous figures in jazz music, an ever-present maestro who revolutionized jazz. Armstrong, born in New Orleans in 1901, began his career in 1919, and played until shortly before his death in 1971. The legendary trumpeter recorded seminal tunes such as “Mack the Knife”, “What A Wonderful World”, “Hello, Dolly” and more during his legendary recording career.

This black felt hat was manufactured by Dobbs Fifth Avenue, and sold by Tretters Men’s Shop in Jasper, Indiana. A black ribbon is wrapped around the crown of the hat. This item is in tremendous condition and comes with a LOA from Joe Franklin Productions, Inc.
