Newly minted Hall of Famer Jeff Bagwell wore these high-top Nike cleats during the 1990 MiLB season. Bagwell began the season with the Red Sox in their minor league system, although he would be traded to Houston Astros in one of the most lopsided trades in baseball history that August. Departing in exchange for Larry Andersen, Bagwell began a career in 1991 that saw him hit 449 home runs and win the 1994 National League MVP Award. Bagwell, who played his entire career for the Astros before retiring in 2005, earned his induction to Cooperstown in 2017.
These white, size 10 Nike cleats are constructed of padded nylon and white tanned leather with blue synthetic leather swooshes on each side. Bagwell’s number “5” is one the back of each ankle in black marker. The soles are hard rubber with six stainless steel cleats each. The size tags are attached to the underside of the tongues. Bagwell signed the toe of each of the cleats, which display outstanding wear, in black marker. These cleats come with a LOA from JT Sports for game use, and a LOA from JSA (Z58632) for the signatures.
