Graded NM 7 by PSA. Hall of Famer. Overwhelming purity of color and sharpness of image distinguish this lush and memorable "Iron Horse" collectible. Number 160 of Lou Gehrig is one of the most widely coveted cards in the revered 1933 Goudey issue, and the attributes that make it so are realized marvelously in this exemplary specimen. Extraordinarily clean blue and a textured batter's box act as backgrounding for the form and shadow of the great Hall of Famer. Even Gehrig's gentle smile is easily discernible on this remarkable cardfront, and his impossibly fine Yankee pinstripes are bold and fully resolved. An extremely attractive piece, the card is also notable for its lack of the age-toning routinely observed in vintage Goudey products. Mild corner touches are barely visible at the left-side aspects.
