Presented here is a Louisville Slugger P72 model bat signed and inscribed by Alex Rodriguez. The former third baseman and shortstop retired in 2016 after putting up numbers that consistently rank among the best in baseball history. Rodriguez crushed 696 home runs, crossed the 2,000 RBI and 3,000 hit marks, and batted .295 for his career. He signed this black bat in silver marker, adding the inscription “2005 MVP”. In ’05, the Yankee third baseman led the AL with 48 home runs, adding 130 RBI, 21 stolen bases, and a .321 batting average. This was the second of Rodriguez’s three American League MVP awards. This bat is accompanied by a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (C42292).
