Kris Bryant had as good a first two seasons in the majors as anyone could ask for. Bryant won the National League Rookie of the Year award in 2015 before claiming the MVP award the following season. To put a cap on a fantastic sophomore season, Bryant led the Cubs to their first World Series title in over 100 years by engineering one of the greatest comebacks in baseball history. Down three games to one to the Indians, the Cubs won Games 5, 6, and 7 to capture an unlikely title.
This white, pinstriped button down jersey was issued to Bryant during the 2015 campaign, but to due defects with the Majestic tag it was never used. A circular Cubs logo is sewn on the left chest of the jersey, and a Cubs logo is sewn on the left sleeve. A memorial patch for Ernie Banks is sewn on the right sleeve. “BRYANT” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue and red tackle twill below a MLB logo. Bryant’s number “17” is sewn on the back of the jersey in blue and red tackle twill. A Majestic size “48” tag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. The tag is heavily cracked, and is the reason Bryant did not use this jersey during games. Bryant signed the “7” digit on the back of the jersey in silver marker. This item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (AC02970) for the signature and a LOA from the Chicago Cubs for its game issued status.
