Presented here is a 30 x 40 inch photograph of Joe Frazier knocking down Muhammad Ali during their first superfight. Known as “The Fight of the Century”, this bout pitted the two undefeated heavyweights against each other on March 8th, 1971 at Madison Square Garden. Frazier wore Ali down, triumphing via unanimous decision after the fight went all 15 rounds. Early in the final round, Frazier knocked down Ali with a left hook, which the great fighter barely recovered from. This was the first loss in Ali’s professional career. Both Ali and Frazier have signed this black and white photograph in blue marker. It is accompanied by a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A82373).
