For Derek Jeter, 2012 was a milestone year from the Yankees captain as he passed both Paul Waner and Tony Gwynn on the all-time career hits list. This Louisville Slugger P72 is one of the bats he used in his relentless drive to become the first Yankee to reach the 3,000 hits mark.

As you’d expect, this Louisville Slugger P72 model bat exhibits excellent use and is un-cracked. There are many ball marks with stitch impressions that are present on the barrel. White leather ball scuffs can also be seen as well as blue ink transfers. A moderate coat of pine tar is on the handle and the date of manufacture “04/20/12” and weight/length “34.0/32.0” are stamped into the knob end. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B10771) who have graded this bat a “GU 9” and hologram from Fanatics (0381495).
