Albert Pujols, a newly-minted member of the 600 home run club, wore this white St. Louis Cardinals home jersey during the 2009 MLB season. Pujols claimed his third National League MVP trophy in 2009, leading all of baseball with 47 home runs and collecting 135 RBI with a .327 batting average. The Cardinals won 91 games in ’09, earning yet another National League Central Division title as Pujols led the team in virtually every hitting category.
This jersey has “Cardinals” and the Red Birds birds-on-a-bat logo sewn on the front of the jersey in red, navy, and yellow chenille stitching. Pujols’ number “5” is sewn on the front and back of this button down home jersey in red and navy blue tackle twill. “PUJOLS” is sewn across the back shoulders in red and navy blue tackle twill beneath a MLB logo patch. A 2009 MLB All-Star Game patch is sewn on the left sleeve above a red Majestic logo. The game was held in St. Louis, and Pujols was a participant. A Majestic tag with attached size “52” and “2009” flags is sewn on the front left tail of this jersey. This jersey shows moderate wear, evidenced by sweat stains around the collar and puckering of the jersey numbers. This item comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
