2017 October Legends Closing November 11
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/12/2017
This chair graced the clubhouse of Yankee Stadium during the 2008 MLB season. This was the final season for “The House That Ruth Built” before the Yankees moved into a new, glimmering cathedral of baseball. Specifically, this chair belonged to ace closer and future Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera, one of the cornerstones of the Yankees great success in the 1990’s and 2000’s. Rivera, the all-time leader in saves, recorded 39 of his 652 saves in 2008 while maintaining a miniscule 1.40 ERA for the 89-win Yankees.
This structure of this chair is navy, while the cushioning is white. The Yankees full logo is present on the seat, while the interlocking “NY” logo is printed on the backrest. This seat comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (LH 156475).
