Hall of Fame running back Marcus Allen wore this Kansas City Chiefs jersey during the 1997 season, the last year of his exemplary career. Allen, operating as Greg Hill’s backup, rushed for 505 yards and 11 touchdowns on only 124 carries as the Chiefs stormed to a 13-3 record and the AFC West title. Allen retired after the season, following 11 seasons with the Raiders and five with the Chiefs, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2003.

This white road jersey has Allen’s number “32” sewn on the chest, sleeves, and back in red and yellow tackle twill. “ALLEN” is sewn across the back shoulders in red and yellow tackle twill over a matching white nameplate. Red Reebok logos are sewn on each sleeve, and the sleeves are accented in screen printed red and yellow stripes. A NFL shield is sewn on the vertex of the collar, and a Reebok size “40” tag with a “SKILL” flag is sewn on the back inside collar of the jersey. A Reebok tag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. This jersey shows light to moderate use and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema. Also included in this lot is a game used white turtleneck worn by Allen in 1997. “CHIEFS” and a Maxit logo are embroidered in red on the collar, and a NFL Pro Line tag with “32” written in black marker is sewn on the front left tail.
