Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. This is the only example at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of fifteen copies recorded in PSA's census reporting; the nearest, competing specimens have been graded PSA EX-MT 6. A phenomenally well-preserved paper relic, in Near Mint to Mint condition.
Professional baseball, as we know it today, wouldn't have been possible without the contributions of the various semi-pro or minor league systems. These leagues nurtured and refined the talents of the many young men who dreamed of heroic feats on the baseball diamond. One such organization was the Eastern League, which included teams from Canada. In 1912, Imperial Tobacco produced a series of 90 cards featuring Eastern League players (designated C46 in the American Card Catalog), and refers to the athletes as being associated with the "International League." This production has the distinction of being the only baseball tobacco series issued in Canada.
