Graded NM-MT+ 8.5 by PSA. Hall of Famer. This is one of two examples at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of thirty-one copies recorded in PSA's census reporting. This very scarce, key card is virtually never seen at the offered copy's level of quality. The collectible's delicate corners and edges and large, 3-1/4" x 3-15/16" dimensions – in combination with the item's original means of distribution as a food insert – have conspired to undermine the preservation of almost all known examples. On this spectacular exception, though, the black-and-white likeness of the star Pittsburgh outfielder carries intact its clarity as well as its personality. This specimen's corner tips are nicely pointed and its print quality is impeccable. Most important and incredible of all, no product staining can be discerned on either side. A splendid piece, in exemplary Near Mint to Mint-plus condition.
