Former Boston Red Sox shortstop Normar Garciaparra burst onto the scene in 1997, winning the American League Rookie of the Year and leading the Red Sox to three post-season appearances during his time in Boston. Garciaparra was the first right-handed batter since Joe DiMaggio to win back-to-back batting titles when he had the American League’s best average in 1999 and 2000.

Garciaparra used this Louisville Slugger C271 model bat during his last five seasons in Boston. This bat displays heavy use and is un-cracked. There are numerous ball marks with stitch impressions on the barrel and there is a moderate coat of pine tar on the upper handle/lower barrel on this hickory finished bat. Along with the model number, “N GARCIAPARRA” and “BOSTON RED SOX” has been stamped on the barrel in gold. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B12968) and has been give a perfect GU 10 grade.
