Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa, the 2015 AL Rookie of the Year and a 2017 All-Star, wore these turf shoes during Spring Training in 2014. Correa, still only 19 years old, played the 2014 regular season with the A+ Lancaster JetHawks of California League, in his last full season in the minors before his June 2015 Major League call up. Correa hit six homers, with 57 RBI, 20 stolen bases, and a .325 batting average, in his abbreviated, 62-game 2014 season.
These shoes are blue and orange Nike high-top turf shoes with an Adaptive Fit heel. “HYPERFUSE” is printed in white on the padded tongue, and the shoes have orange and white Nike swooshes. The midsole, heel, and laces are orange, and Correa’s number “84” is written on each heel in black marker. These size 13 shoes show moderate wear, and are accompanied by LOAs from JT Sports and Carlos Correa Sr.
