The 2004 National League Championship Series pitted the St. Louis Cardinals against the upstart Houston Astros. This series went all seven games, with the home team winning each of the contests. In Game 5, at Houston’s Minute Maid Park, the teams entered the ninth inning still scoreless. The visiting Cardinals went in order in the top of the ninth and in the bottom of the inning, Jeff Kent sent the Houston faithful home happy with a walk-off three-run home run off closer Jason Isringhausen to give the Astros a dramatic 3-0 victory and a 3-2 edge in the series.

This offered Louisville Slugger M110 model bat was used by Kent to deliver the final blow of this dramatic Game 5 victory. As expected, this bat shows heavy use with ball marks, stitch impressions and cleat imprints throughout the barrel. This bat has a crack on the handle and Kent’s number “12” has been hand written in black marker on the knob and a light coating of pine tar is on the upper handle. Kent has signed his name in bold black marker on the barrel and inscribed “Game 5 HR Bat”. This tremendous bat comes with a LOA from Mears for the game use and a COA from PSA/DNA (AD28255) for the signature.
