Mark Teixeira had a solid 2012 season with the New York Yankees. In 123 games, the slugging first baseman belted 24 home runs, drove in 84 runs and had a respectable .251 batting average. Teixeira used this Louisville Slugger T165 during the July 22nd game at Oakland when he broke it against pitcher Bartolo Colon hitting a single in the top of the third inning. This bat displays outstanding use with numerous ball marks, stitch impressions and cleat marks. The bat has a large crack in the handle and a light coating of pine tar covers the lower barrel and lower handle. Teixeira’s number “25” has been hand written in black marker on the knob along with stamped manufacture date “08/24/11”, stamped length/weight “34.0/32.0”. This bat comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK162426) which authenticates this bat was broken during the 3rd inning at-bat on the July 22nd game and a LOA from Steiner Sports.
