Los Angeles Dodgers superstar rookie Cody Bellinger wore this gray road jersey during the Dodgers 3-2 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on August 9th, 2017. The lanky first baseman was the offensive catalyst for the Dodgers, finishing 2-4 with a double and a home run as the LA team pushed their record to 80-33. Bellinger’s home run, a solo shot to open the game’s scoring, came in the top of the second inning against former Dodger Zack Greinke, and was the 33rd of his career. The second-generation pro led off the seventh inning with a double, later scoring on a Joc Pederson two-bagger, to knot the game at two apiece. The next batter, Yasiel Puig, singled home Pederson to finalize the score.
This jersey is a button down, gray road outfit with “Los Angeles” sewn across the chest in blue tackle twill. Bellinger’s number “35” is sewn on the front in red tackle twill and on the back in blue tackle twill. “Bellinger” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue tackle twill beneath a vinyl MLB logo patch. A Majestic size “46” tag has been applied to the front left tail of the jersey and a Majestic barcode is located beneath the bottom button of the jersey. The sides and back tail of the jersey are made of a gray mesh. This jersey shows good evidence of use, exemplified by numerous dirt stains on the chest. This item comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JC 252461), which dates the use of this jersey to the August 9th game.
