Gary Sheffield wore this button down sleeveless Florida Marlins home jersey during the 1995 season, his third year with the team. A formidable power hitter, Sheffield hit 16 home runs, with 46 RBI, 19 stolen bases and a .324 batting average, in only 63 games with the Fish in ’95. Sheffield, a nine-time All-Star and the 1992 National League batting champion, finished his career with 509 home runs.
This home vest is white, with teal pinstripes. “MARLINS” is sewn across the chest in teal, black, and white tackle twill. Sheff’s number “10” is sewn on the front and back in black, white, and teal tackle twill. “SHEFFIELD” is sewn across the back shoulders in black and teal tackle twill over a matching white nameplate. A Russell Athletic patch is sewn on the back outside collar. A Russell Athletic size “48” tag with an attached “100% Polyester” flag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. This vest, which shows light wear, comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
