Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe wore this helmet during the 1996 Denver Broncos season. The first tight end to surpass 10,000 career receiving yards, Sharpe caught 80 passes for 1,062 yards and 10 touchdowns in 1996 as the Broncos compiled a 13-3 record and claimed the AFC West title. Sharpe played 14 seasons, making eight Pro Bowls, including one in 1996, and appearing on four First Team All-Pro squads. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
This blue helmet has an orange and white stripe bisecting the helmet, and Bronco logo decals on each side of the headgear. The facemask is white, with a clear visor. Sharpe’s number “84” is affixed to the back of the helmet in white numerals next to a NFL logo.
The helmet comes with a signed letter from former player Tony Martin who stated that he received this helmet directly from Sharpe when they exchanged helmets at the Pro Bowl.
