With over 3,300 hits and a career batting average of .333, Eddie Collins is one of the best players that the average baseball fan probably doesn't know much about. If you follow the history of the game however, you know that he is one of the best to ever play the game. Collins was the star at the center of baseball’s greatest dynasty - the 1910-1914 Philadelphia A’s. Along the way he re-defined how the position of second base was played.
This offered Stall & Dean bat has been dated to the 1912-15 seasons during his time in Philadelphia with the Athletics. This un-cracked bat weighs 34.5 ounces and is 34 inches long. This bat displays heavy game use with numerous ball marks and deadwood throughout the barrel. There are three red rings painted above the center brand stamping and “Stall and Dean” and “Ed Collins” are stamped to the left of the three red stripes. An incredible piece of baseball history used by one of the greatest ballplayers to have ever played the game and this bat comes with a full LOA from MEARS (315559) for the game use.
