Hall of Fame third baseman Mike Schmidt wore these Nike cleats during the 1985 MLB season. A lifetime Phillie, Schmidt is inarguably one of the greatest third baseman of all-time, smashing 548 career home runs, earning 12 trips to the All-Star Game, and picking up three National League MVP Awards. Schmidt led all National League third baseman in home runs in 1985, with 33 blasts, for an otherwise underachieving Phillies team. Schmidt added 93 RBI and a healthy .277 batting average to his season statistics. Schmidt retired after the 1989 MLB season, and was enshrined in Cooperstown on his first ballot, in 1995.

These low-top Nike cleats are maroon, with hard rubber soles featuring six stainless steel spikes each. The left cleat is a size 10 ½, and the right cleat is a size 11. The toe of the right shoe shows more wear than the left, as Schmidt dragged his right foot while finishing his crisp swing. The body of the cleats are made of red tanned leather and nylon, with white synthetic leather Nike swooshes are applied to each side. A Nike tag is sewn on the tongue flaps, and a Nike wordmark is printed on the heels. Schmidt’s number “20” is written on the tongue flaps, the outside swooshes, and the heels of each shoe. Schmidt signed the heel of the right cleat in black marker. These cleats, which show outstanding wear, come with a LOA from JT Sports for game use.
