     Presented is a contract for “The Redd Foxx Show” signed by boxing legend and civil rights activist Muhammad Ali. Ali is regarded as one of the most significant sports figures in the 20th century. Even early into his career, Ali was known for inspiring awe both inside and outside the ring. During his reign in the ring Ali won a gold medal in the light heavyweight division at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome during his amateur career at age 18, and in his professional career he became the only three-time lineal heavyweight champion in 1964, 1974, and 1978. “The Greatest” was involved in several historic fights the most notable of these being the fights against Sonny Liston dubbed the “Fight of the Century” and “Super Fight II”, the “Thrilla in Manila” against Joe Frazier, and “The Rumble in the Jungle” against George Foreman.

     This document was signed by Ali to appear on “The Redd Foxx Show” on November 4th, 1977 at CBS Television City. The Redd Foxx Show was a variety show started in 1977 on CBS after Foxx left the popular Sanford and Son show that ran for six seasons prior on NBC. The signature is in excellent condition and has been written in black pen ink. This lot comes with a full letter from PSA/DNA (H42849).
