     Presented here is a baseball signed by the American League All-Star team from the second of the two All-Star Games held during the 1959 season. Starting that year, in an effort to bolster the MLB pension fund, the league hosted two All-Star Games. This continued until 1962, when they reverted back to the previous system of one each year. The second game in the 1959 series was held on August 3rd at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, after the first was held on July 7th at Forbes Field. The AL won the second game 5-3, which Jerry Walker earning the win thanks to homers from Frank Malzone, Yogi Berra, and Rocky Colavito.

     This ball is an Official National League Warren Giles baseball, with the signature of Hall of Famer Ted Williams on the sweet spot. Other signatures include the Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle, Al Kaline, Early Wynn, and Hoyt Wilhelm. The remaining signatures include Roger Maris, Minnie Minoso, Elston Howard, Gene Woodling, Jerry Walker, Billy O’Dell, Cal McLish, Bobby Richardson, and Bob Allison. The signatures have been written in black pen. This item comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A03350).
