Presented here is a baseball signed by 31 members of the 1981 American League pennant winning New York Yankees. In a strange, strike shortened season, the Yankees qualified for the playoffs by virtue of winning the American League East in the first half of the season, setting up a playoff matchup with the second half champion Milwaukee Brewers. The Yanks won the division series in five games, and went on to sweep the A’s in the ALCS, before falling in six games to a familiar World Series foe, the Los Angeles Dodgers.

This baseball is an Official 1981 World Series Bowie Kuhn baseball. Hall of Famers Bob Lemon and Reggie Jackson have signed the sweet spot, while Hall of Famers Dave Winfield, Goose Gossage, and Yogi Berra have also signed this ball. Other signatures include Dave Righetti, Ron Guidry, Lou Piniella, Tommy John, Bob Watson, Rick Reuschel, Andre Robertson, Willie Randolph, Aurelio Rodriguez, Jerry Mumphrey, Mike Ferraro, Jeff Torborg, Rudy May, Dennis Werth, Clyde King, Charley Lau, Joe Altobelli, and several more. The signatures have been written in black pen. This item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA.
