Presented here is a Los Angeles Lakers jersey signed by Hall of Fame center Wilt Chamberlain. Easily one of the premier players in NBA history, Wilt spent the final five seasons of his career, from 1968 to 1973, playing for the Los Angeles Lakers. The only player to ever average 40 or 50 points throughout an entire season, Chamberlain ended his career with averages of 30.1 points and 22.9 rebounds per game. This Champion jersey has “LAKERS” and Chamberlain’s number “13” sewn on the chest in purple and white tackle twill, while “13” and “CHAMBERLAIN” are sewn on the back in similarly colored tackle twill. A gold NBA logo, indicating that this jersey was produced around the time of the NBA’s 50th Anniversary celebrations in 1996, is sewn on the left breast. Chamberlain signed the “1” digit on the back of the gold jersey in black marker. This item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (Q06849).
