While a play-making threat as both a receiver and rusher over his four years with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Tim Brown had quite an impressive college career. He went out in style, winning the Heisman Trophy in his senior year. That season, Brown had 39 receptions for 846 yards, good for a remarkable 21.7 yards per catch. He also posted a 4.2 yard rushing average. For good measure, Brown also recorded three punt return touchdowns. After leaving Notre Dame, Brown went on to star in the NFL, piling up 1,094 catches in his career, totaling 14,934 receiving yards and 100 TDs. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015.

     Offered here is Brown’s Herff Jones 10K 1987 Heisman Memorial Trophy ring, which features a beautiful rendering of the trophy, surrounded by CZs. Relief lettering reads “HEISMAN MEMORIAL TROPHY” around the perimeter. The left shank of the ring displays “DOWNTOWN ATHLETIC CLUB OF NEW YORK” above the logo that shows the skyline, and “DAC”. At the bottom is “FOUNDED 1928”. The opposite shank features an image of the Heisman Trophy along with “BROWN NOTRE DAME 1987 THE HEISMAN”. Below the trophy appears “SINCE 1935”. Inside the band is stamped HJ – 10K. Ring size is an approximate 11 with the weight being approximately 36 grams. This item also comes with a rare Herff Jones ring box.
