Played on July 14, 1992 in San Diego’s Jack Murphy Stadium, the Major League Baseball All-Star Game provided plenty of firepower. Lineups were stacked with offensive talent such as Ken Griffey, Jr., Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Cal Ripken, Jr., Wade Boggs and Tony Gwynn. So it really was no surprise when the two teams combined for 19 runs and 31 hits, as the American League beat the National League, 13-6. Starting pitcher Tom Glavine absorbed most of the punishment, giving up nine hits and five runs in just 1.2 innings of work. Griffey, Jr. won the game’s MVP Award, going 3-for-3 with a home run, a double and two RBIs.
Offered here is a 1992 MLB All-Star Game American league version ring manufactured by Balfour. The face features a large colorful stone with a round CZ set on top.
