Presented here is a wonderfully rare item – a 1952 Holy Cross College NCAA Baseball World Series ring. The Crusaders – who would finish with an overall record of 21 wins and only 3 losses – eliminated both Penn State (by a score of 15-4) and Western Michigan (a 15-3 final) in blowout fashion to reach the Final. Holy Cross then went on to defeat Missouri in two straight contests, claiming the 1952 College World Series title with an 8-4 victory on June 17th. Pitcher James O’Neill was named both First Team All-America and also College World Series Most Outstanding Player. The face of the ring features an image of a baseball - that displays “HOLY CROSS” – over crossed bats. The year 1952 is below the ball. “COLLEGE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS” reads around the perimeter. Each shank of the band shows an image of a glove, set on a baseball diamond, over crossed bats. This stainless ring is an approximate size 8 and weighs approximately 14.7 grams. This item comes with the owner's original purchase LOA.
