Under head coach Pat Burns, the New Jersey Devils recorded 108 points during the 2002-2003 regular season, finishing first in the Atlantic Division. The team did it with goaltending and defense, as goalie Martin Brodeur was sensational, winning 41 games and posting a 2.02 goals against average, while the defensive core was led by Scott Niedermayer and Scott Stevens. Offensively, Patrik Elias scored a team-high 28 goals. New Jersey won the conference finals in a hard-fought seven-game series with the Ottawa Senators, then followed that up with another series that would go the distance, beating the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, four games to three, to claim the Stanley Cup title.

Offered here is a 2003 New Jersey Devils Stanley Cup Champions prototype ring. The face is loaded with CZs, surrounding a red Devils “NJ” logo. “WORLD CHAMPIONS” appears in relief lettering. Brodeur’s name and number 30, along with the Stanley Cup logo, appear on one shank of the ring. The images of three Stanley Cups, and the years won by New Jersey (’95, ’00, 2003), are depicted on the opposite shank, with “DEVILS” above. This gold-plated over silver ring weighs approximately 87.7 grams and is an approximate size 10 ½. This item comes with the owner's original purchase LOA.
