Presented here is a vintage 8 x 10 inch photograph of legendary slugger Babe Ruth, signed and inscribed by the man himself. With his 714 home runs and countless indelible moments throughout his 22-season career, Ruth cemented his legacy as one of the handful of greatest athletes in American sporting history. Ruth, a Baltimore native, was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936, as a member of its inaugural class of legends.
This sepia photograph depicts The Babe in the follow through of his sublime left-handed swing. Wearing home Yankee pants and a long sleeved white shirt, Ruth exudes an aura of charisma and unparalleled baseball skill. He has signed this photograph in black pen, writing “To Don From / Babe Ruth / 4-1-47”, dating this signature to just over a year before his premature passing. The inscription “Paul” was written in an unknown hand. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (Z41542).
