Although Mickey Mantle came of age under the bright lights of New York City, the kid from Commerce, Oklahoma, never forgot his humble roots. The son of a miner, Mickey could curse like one too, and was well known for his practical jokes, wit, and rough-and-tumble sense of humor. The Mick exhibited that humor on his inscription on this Official American League Bobby Brown baseball. To the left of the sweet spot, Mantle inscribed “Our Shake Was Funny! Asshole”, while signing both his name and Greer Johnson’s in black pen. This baseball comes with a LOA from JSA (X67097).
