A minor-league infielder in the 1950s-1960s, Chico Heron also played and coached in his native Panama before becoming a scout for the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Yankees—and helping sign both Mariano Rivera and Ramiro Mendoza. (Rivera attended Heron's 2007 funeral in Panama.) A few years ago, Heron's 2006 Cardinals championship ring sold at auction for over $12,500. Now comes his Yankees ring from the first world title of the Jeter era. This Balfour 10K-gold, size 12 showpiece features a glittering diamond face along with shank designs of the Commissioner's Trophy, "Courage / Heart," Yankee logo, Yankee Stadium facade and "Tradition." Radiant NM condition.
