2014 was a big year for Giancarlo Stanton. The power-hitting right fielder led the National League in home runs with 37, slugging percentage (.555) and total bases (299), while finishing second in the MVP vote. Stanton used this Marucci G27-M model bat during the 2014 season.
This all-black bat with a flat finish displays excellent use and is un-cracked. There are several ball marks and stitch impressions on the barrel, along with an impression of a weighted donut. Other marks on the barrel include blue ink transfers, white leather scuffs and cleat impressions. On the lower handle is a light coating of Mota Stick. There is a mark on the handle that identifies the grain, which has been mandatory per Major League Baseball for all maple bats. Stamped on the knob are the date of manufacture “03/13/14” , Stanton’s number “27” , the length “4” and weight “1.5”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B09150).
