Mike Trout wore these batting gloves in 2012, his first full season in the Major Leagues. Trout was an instant success, winning the American League Rookie of the Year award and finishing second in the MVP race. Trout led baseball in stolen bases, with 49, while hitting 30 home runs, 83 RBI, and compiling a batting average of .326. Since 2012, Trout has never failed to make the American League All-Star team, or finish worse than second in the MVP race.
These gloves are Nike Diamond Elite models, with a red and gray color scheme. A Nike swoosh is present on the top of each hand, and “DIAMOND ELITE” is printed on each wristband. The gloves project abundant wear. Trout signed each in black marker, adding the inscriptions “2012 G/U” to each. These gloves come with a LOA from Mike Trout.
