St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina is still considered one of the premier backstops in all of baseball and 2016 was still a productive year for Molina both in the field and at the plate. Molina had a solid .307 batting average with eight home runs and 58 RBI in 147 games.
This Marucci YM4-M model bat shows moderate to heavy game use and has a large crack on the handle, which was done when Molina grounded out off of Chicago Cubs pitcher Adam Warren in the bottom of the ninth inning during the Cardinals 4-3 walk-off victory at Busch Stadium on May 23rd, 2016. Some ball marks and stitch impressions can be seen on the barrel and Molina’s number “4” has been stamped to the knob. A black and white LizardSkins grip has been applied to the lower handle to enhance the grip and a coating of pine tar has been applied to the upper handle/lower barrel. Molina signed his name in bold black marker on the barrel and inscribed “4” and “Game Used”. This bat has been photo matched and comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ885362) which authenticates that the bat was used by Molina and broken during the May 23rd game and a STICKER ONLY from JSA (W901816) for his signature.
