Presented here are two items signed by legendary guard Oscar Robertson. The first player to average a triple-double for an entire season in NBA history, Robertson was a 12-time All-Star as well as the 1964 NBA MVP. Over his 14 season career, Robertson averaged a stunning 25.7 points, 9.5 assists, and 7.5 rebounds per game. In 1980, Robertson was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
The first item is a signed Sports Illustrated from October 26th, 1970, with Robertson as the cover star. The photograph is from the Bucks first game of the season, against the Atlanta Hawks. The Bucks won that game 107-98, and would go on to win the NBA Finals in a four game sweep over the Baltimore Bullets. Robertson signed the front of this magazine in black marker as “Big O”. This item comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (AD28263).
Also included is a Wilson basketball signed in gold marker by Robertson. Again, he signed his name as “Big O”. This basketball comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (AD28262).
